You&amp;rsquo;ve got a lot of power fighting against the elements. If you don&amp;rsquo;t plan for the weather, you&amp;rsquo;re basically just waiting for the thing to short out.&#xA;We spent a lot of time obsessing over two things: fog and splashes.&#xA;&lt;strong&gt;The battle against condensation&lt;/strong&gt;&#xA;Here is the problem. When that infrared element kicks in, it gets hot—fast. Meanwhile, the air around it is cold and damp. That temperature gap creates condensation inside the unit.&#xA;If a tiny drop of water hits a glowing hot quartz tube?&lt;strong&gt;Crack.&lt;/strong&gt;&#xA;To stop that from happening, we tucked the heating element inside a &lt;a href=&#34;https://o-yate.net&#34;&gt;sealed&lt;/a&gt; optical chamber. It keeps the moisture away from the glass so the tube doesn&amp;rsquo;t blow out the first time the weather turns.&#xA;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;a href=&#34;https://goldisgood.com&#34;&gt;Dealing&lt;/a&gt; with the rain&lt;/strong&gt;&#xA;Gazebos aren&amp;rsquo;t airtight. Wind happens. Rain blows in sideways. If water gets into your electrical terminals, you&amp;rsquo;re looking at corroded wires or, worse, a tripped breaker right in the middle of a party.&#xA;We fixed this with gasket-sealed joints and a &amp;ldquo;drip-loop&amp;rdquo; design. It basically forces water to drop off before it ever reaches the guts of the machine. It&amp;rsquo;s built to take a beating from the weather and just keep humming along.&#xA;&lt;strong&gt;One quick tip on installation&lt;/strong&gt;&#xA;There is a trade-off here. Because we sealed the casing so tightly to keep the water out, the unit doesn&amp;rsquo;t breathe quite as easily.&#xA;When you&amp;rsquo;re mounting it to the ceiling,&lt;strong&gt;leave at least a 10cm gap.&lt;/strong&gt;&#xA;If you squash it right against the roof, the internal safety switch might think it&amp;rsquo;s overheating and shut the whole thing down. Give it some room to breathe, and you&amp;rsquo;re golden.&#xA;We want these heaters to stay in your ceiling for years. By locking out the moisture, we make sure the only thing you ever have to worry about is the natural wear and tear of the filament over time.&lt;/p&gt;</description>
