What matters under the hood The system runs short-wave infrared emitters in a 5-zone layout, so each zone can be tuned independently to match the preform wall profile. Quartz envelopes and halogen filaments give you fast thermal response and stable output across the heating window. The lamps run on standard voltages and use R7s connectors, so they drop straight into the heating tunnels on most blow molders. Output holds steady over 5,000+ hours, with drift under 5%. Why it plays on your floor Independent zone control lets you dial in the heat to the preform geometry and material—whether you’re running PET on a Sidel, Krones, SIPA, Husky, SACMI, or Nissei ASB. Temperature stability cuts rejects from overheat or underheat, and you get more consistent stretch during blow molding. Ramp-up is faster, so changeovers take less time. Energy use drops too, because the emitters deliver heat on demand instead of dumping ambient load. A few field notes Installation is straightforward, but the heating window is fussy. Keep reflectors clean and aligned, and match lamp position to the OEM focal distance. Expect a slight output drop toward end of life—plan replacements during scheduled maintenance so you don’t get blindsided. If the machine has aging controls, confirm your controller can handle 5-zone addressing before you switch over.
