If you’ve got old SBO systems running alongside the newer Matrix series, you know the struggle of trying to get them to play nice together. That’s why we built these replacement lamps. We wanted something that just works. No rewiring your oven, no messing around with lamp holders, and definitely no headaches. Just pop them in and get back to work. The fit matters. Here’s the thing: if a lamp is off by even two millimeters, you’re in trouble. You end up putting pressure on the quartz, and that’s a fast track to a burnout. We’ve obsessively matched the length and connector geometry of the original Amsler units so they slide right into place. No forcing, no squeezing. We also tuned the voltage and wattage to match your existing power supply. You don’t want to blow a transformer because a tube was pulling too much juice. Now, high-wattage tubes are great for fast cycle times, but keep an eye on your ventilation. If the heat can’t get away from the reflectors, things can warp. The science part (made simple) We use high-purity quartz because these things take a beating with rapid heating and cooling. These lamps use short-wave infrared to punch through the PET preform quickly. Depending on which model you pick, we’ve added coatings to make sure the heat actually hits the plastic instead of just warming up the walls of your oven. Real-world use You can swap these into any Sidel-compatible blower without touching your control logic. Since the specs are a mirror image of the originals, your PID controllers won’t start screaming at you with power deviation alarms. One pro tip:Keep your reflectors clean. It sounds basic, but carbon buildup on those mirrors is a silent killer. It forces the lamps to run hotter to hit the right preform temperature, and that just eats away at the life of the tube. Keep them shiny, and your lamps will last a lot longer.
