In KHS and KOSME machines, that almost always means your infrared lamps are either misaligned or just aren’t putting out the right kind of heat. The technical side of things We designed our replacement lamps to be a simple swap. You don’t need to rewire your machine or pray that they fit—they just drop right in. The trick is in the power. We balanced the wattage and voltage so you get that intense heat needed to hit the glass transition temperature quickly. That’s why we use high-purity quartz and a halogen-filled filament. It focuses the shortwave IR radiation right where it needs to go. But here is the real secret: the coating. Generic tubes often leave “cold spots” or, worse, they scorch the surface of the PET without actually heating the core. Our coating manages the emissivity, pushing the heat deep into the material. Plus, the connectors are machined tight. No loose fits, no sparking, no headaches. Putting them to work You can toss these into your oven and get back to work immediately. No modifications needed. The goal is a flat thermal profile—meaning every inch of that heating zone is doing its job. Just a heads-up: since these lamps pack a punch, your oven’s ventilation has to keep up. Check your cooling blowers. If they’re clogged with dust and debris, the ambient temperature in the oven will climb faster than it would with standard tubes. Keep those blowers clean, and you’re golden.
